[4 points] 1. With fast fashion, consumers are offered constantly changing collections at low prices, and encouraged to frequently buy and discard clothes. Do you follow fast fashion, or do you prefer more durable clothes? Write a for-and-against essay in which you explain the pros and cons of fast fashion. 2. You have bought several products online from a well-known website but some of them have not arrived while the ones which have are not in good condition. Write a formal email to customer service complaining about the service and requesting some compen- sation. 3. Write a description of a place you have been to or would like to visit. Explain where the place is, why it is special and what things you can see or do there. Do not forget to give your opinion or a recommendation.

You and some friends have been to a new restaurant in your town which you enjoyed very much. The owners ask you to write a review in Google or Trip Advisor to help them publicize it. Mention the type of food they serve, their best dishes, the ingredients they use, the service, the decoration, the value for money and any other aspect that is worth mentioning. 2. Weall know life is full of ups and downs. Imagine you recently faced a significant per- sonal challenge. Write a narrative essay for your high school's newspaper about a time when you faced this challenge. This could be an academic, emotional, or physical obsta- cle. Describe the situation, the decisions you made to overcome it, and the lessons you learned from the experience.

Turning 18 entails making many decisions in life, such as deciding who to vote for, choosing your future education or looking for a job to pay for your education, among many others. Write an email to a friend or family member reflecting on your latest life-changing decisions, including your plans or goals. It could be related to career aspi- rations, travel plans, or personal development. Share your thoughts with this person and finish by asking for their input or experiences. As part of a project on housing, your school has invited a group of interior designers and architects. They are interested in how spaces influence emotions and wellbeing. They say home is where your heart is and a place where you feel most comfortable and at peace. Write a description of this place that is home to you. It could be a physical location, like your childhood bedroom, a favorite park, a family gathering spot, or even a corner of a cafe. Use vivid sensory details (sights, sounds, smells, textures, and tastes) to help the designers experience the place as you do.

In many households, traditional dishes are disappearing, and only the older generations of the family still cook them, whereas the young tend to prefer some form of fast food. Your teacher has organized a class debate in which you will have to defend traditional food. As a conclusion to the debate, the teacher would like you to write an opinion essay with your views on the topic. In your text you should mention why you think this is hap- pening, examples of recipes that are being lost, the advantages that these dishes have and why it is important to keep this heritage. You are attending a creative writing class where you are working on feelings and sensations. For next week, you have been asked to write a description of a single day during your favorite season of the year. Whether it's a crisp autumn morning, a bright summer afternoon, or a shnowy winter evening, bring the season to life with descriptive details. Focus on the atmosphere, the activities, and the sensations that make this day so memorable.
